Kindergarten spent the last two weeks of the year traveling around the world. We packed our bags, got our passports and visited 8 different countries on 4 different continents.
We practiced using chopsticks and made lucky paper lanterns in China. Then we flew to Australia to learn to play the didgeridoo and dance with the Aborigines. We went on a safari in South Africa and celebrated Cinco de Mayo in Mexico.
Ms. Maria even showed us how to make tortillas! We became Parisian artists in France, painting the Eiffel Tower, and made Edelweiss hats in Germany. We listened to different kinds of music from around the world and tried new foods (some we liked, some we didn’t). We even learned to speak a few new languages! The students had a blast learning about other cultures!
