The district’s pre-school program is just the kind of caring environment that parents are seeking to help smooth the transition for their children from home to school.
The Altoona-based program has two half-day sessions and provides a variety of services based on the specific needs of each student. In addition to classroom instruction, students learn self-help, socialization, and fine- and gross-motor skills. A small student-to-teacher ratio means plenty of personal attention.
Transportation, meals and snacks are all part of the pre-school experience, along with computers and access to a large playground.
For more information, or to enroll your child, please contact the Director of the Pre-School program, Ashley Tromsess (herself a graduate of Altoona-Midway) at 1-877-596-8556 or atromness@altoonamidway.org
