Mission Statement

The mission of the Altoona-Midway High School is to prepare students to become productive citizens in a changing world.

The home of the Jets, Altoona-Midway High School provides students with the advantages of a large school in a small school setting.

Small class sizes, teachers that have known each student since middle school (because the teaching staff is shared), and plenty of opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities – with never a fee to participate.

Our course offerings provide the foundation for success in the future, and opportunities to discover what interests each student – whether that be preparing for a four-year college experience, a vocational or agricultural future, or any other career endeavor. Interactive distance learning, and our dual credit program with Independence Community College mean the future is wide open for our students!
